Topic: BLESSEDNESS OF MAKING PEACE
Text : Matthew 5:9
St. Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Christ is peaceful and every of His followers must follow suit, we will in a world of offense and some offend for no just reason, there at times you have good reason not to be in terms with someone. Sometimes offense pains to the marrows, it can be so painful that you might want to keep Malice for forever.
Understanding that we are no longer of our own but Christ’s, makes us act like Him, a sincere follower of Him will ask himself ‘ if it were Jesus , what will He do?’. This question will make you put aside the reactions from your flesh. Harsh words, rash actions, result to strife and anger. A sincere follower of Christ will not do that.
From our text, Christ pronounced blessing on peace makers, besides, I have not seen a sensible person hate a peace maker, and so as such, making peace attracts Favour from God and man. God blesses him while men also fall in love with him, they find it comfortable to come around him, they feel secure around him, they want to do business with him, they can trust him, entrust things into his hands. A trouble maker is not like that, his life is full of chaos and crisis fact he doesn’t enjoy himself.
Note this: angry man feels pain within himself before expressing it to others. He feels anger within himself, no wonder the bible says ‘ anger dwells in the blossom of the fool ‘. Make decision to live at peace with everyone no matter what anyone does, and you will see a turn around in your life. God bless you.
