Topic: WRONG POSSESSION
Text: Genesis 12:10-20kJV
14 And it came to pass, that, when Abram was come into Egypt, the Egyptians beheld the woman that she was very fair.
15 The princes also of Pharaoh saw her, and commended her before Pharaoh: and the woman was taken into Pharaoh’s house
17 And the Lord plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai Abram’s wife.
18 And Pharaoh called Abram and said, What is this that thou hast done unto me? why didst thou not tell me that she was thy wife?
In life a whole lot of things happen that aren’t supposed to be, many people especially when they have societal influence, power or authority often tend to oppress the people under them by forcefully taking possessions that are not legitimately theirs. You would have seen or heard such things such as the rich taken over forcefully the landed property of the poor around them, managers or bosses giving the right promotion of an employee under them to another person for their selfish benefit, even kings forcefully taking the beautiful wife of their subject and even deal with such subject who refuses to let go.
King David did such in the bible in 2 Samuel 11-12, David out of lust committed adultery with Uriah’s wife ( wife of one his mighty soldiers ) and in an attempt to cover his secret, David plotted the death of Uriah and Uriah was killed at the war front. Though God dealt with David but then Uriah was dead and his wife taken over by David, I decree everyone who takes your possession and yet oppresses you, the Almighty God will paralyse in Jesus Name.
From our text today, king Pharaoh wrongly possess Sarah, Abraham’s wife out of ignorance and God seriously dealt with him by plaguing Pharaoh and his entire household for Abraham’s sake. I decree that for your sake the Almighty God will plague everyone who has taken your rightful and legitimate possessions either forcefully, ignorantly or out of lust in Jesus Name.
Dearly beloved, take these things to God in prayer and the Almighty God will defend you just as he defended Abraham. God bless you.
PRAYER
* Father, everyone who has taken what is rightly mine, let them know no peace all days of their lives until they give me my possessions in Jesus Name
* Father, everyone who takes my possession and yet oppress me with their power or authority, Lord paralyse them in Jesus Name
* Father, by your mighty power, take back for me all that has been stolen away from me in Jesus Name.
