PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
17th April
Topic: BRINGING SONS UNTO GLORY
Text : Hebrew 2:1-18
Hebrews 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
Adam was made in the image of God, the image that is full of glory, but when he sinned with his wife, Eve, they fell short of that glory, God chased them out of Eden. They lost the glorious living, they picked up a shameful and stressful life, we all inherited that from them, that is the reason it is not out of place for Apostles Paul to say in Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
God willing to restore man to his original state, sent Jesus to take up the shame, suffering and punishment due for the sin of man to exchange it for HIS GLORY, since eye is for an eye, and tooth for tooth according to the law. So Jesus by the principle of the law brought us to the dispensation of grace. Law advocates punishment for every sin, Jesus suffered for any kind of sin any man can commit, so that that man can go free the moment he accepts Jesus.
From our text ‘…the captain of our salvation can only be made perfect through sufferings ‘. It was real exchange, how do I know? Look at this :Isaiah 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
God wanting to abolish the harsh effect of the law on humanity, through the law launch us into the dispensation ( time )of grace, so Jesus Christ brought glory to you and took up shame, He went through all kinds of evil, the bible called Him a man of sorrows Isaiah 53:3. Can I shock you? There was never a place in the bible Jesus smiled not even at the wedding in Cana, the response to His mother proves that: St. John 2:4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
And by this great sacrifice of His, He is bringing us into glory, that means you and I and everyone who receives Him is not suppose to live in shame any more, Arise and shine for your light is come and God’s glory is risen upon you. Jesus paid for poverty, sickness, shame, all kinds of evil that you might not have to go through any. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* I quit the life of shame and pains.
* I enter into my realm of glory.
* I take up beauty, glory, prosperity, and every good thing of life.
