Topic : DEALING WITH CONTRARY FORCES
Text. : Matthew 6:45-56
St. Mark 6:48 And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.
St. Mark 6:49 But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:
St. Mark 6:50 For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
St. Mark 6:51 And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.
Sometimes in life things happen to be going contrary, when effort put into life seems not to yield results, it is no news to everyone that there are contrary forces. These forces are committed to hindering breakthroughs, success, victory , prosperity etc.
Doubting the existence of these forces is synonymous to doubting if the devil exist, believing that they are not after you is synonymous to believing that the devil has given up over you, but he never does, he gives up on no one, he lunches attack everyday.
From our passage the wind was contrary to the disciples of Jesus ‘…He saw them toiling in rowing…’ for a while they were toiling, that’s the mission of the forces of darkness to make you toil, labour, go through pains, the situation remains the same until Jesus steps into the ship.
The disciples cried out, they didn’t assume everything will be alright without doing anything, you gat to pray beloved, it is wrong to believe all will be well without praying, keep praying until there is a change, don’t let some people indoctrinate you wrongly.
Rebuke the forces until you feel them no more, most times when these forces are at work you have nightmares, they are not powerful but stubborn, each time you pray they are hurt but they will try come again, keep praying until you put them out completely.
