PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
21st March
Topic: LIVING BY GRACE( part 3 )
Text: Hebrews 10:28-30KJV
28- He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29- Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30- For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
In part 1&2 of this topic last week (14th&16th March @ www.raisedbygrace.wordPress.com), we learnt that we are living by the grace of God and that the grace of God is available for all but in different measures. Today we want to consider that its dangerous to despise the grace of God.
The grace God is a free goodness of God to us men, we didn’t pay for it, we do not merit it, but God chose to release it upon us. The grace of salvation (Titus 2:11) that Christ brought to all men is free. Christ laid down His life for us all, He paid the debt for our sins, He made a sacrifice of His blood to redeem us from sin and death(Romans 5:8). Then he offered to us a perfect salvation just by accepting Him as our Lord and Saviour, all for free. Now if anyone despise this grace of God, such will not escape the wrath of God at the final judgement which is the judgement of the lake of fire (Revelation 20:15). Beloved, if you are not saved yet, don’t despise this grace of God for your life.
As a born again child of God with specific or special grace for God’s work, don’t despise the grace of God upon your life or ministry. Don’t frustrate the grace of God upon you, it could be very dangerous. What ever God has deposited in you, use it all for His glory alone. Prophet Eli was a man with God’s grace upon him, God promised Eli, that his household will forever remain a priest before Him(God), however Eli’s children were wayward and did not honour God, God sent a warning to Eli what He will do if his children did not repent, but Eli despised God’s warning (He took God for granted), and the judgement of God came to pass over his household (1 Samuel 2:12-36, 3:17-21)
Dearly beloved, our text above said God is a God of vengeance and there sorer punishment for anyone who despise the blood of the covenant and the spirit of grace. This is the truth of the scripture, I pray you will not despise God’s grace upon you in Jesus Name.
PRAYER:
* Father, help me to not despise your grace of salvation in Jesus Name
* Lord, help me not to frustrate your grace upon my life and ministry in Jesus Name

  1. It’s difficult to find knowledgeable people on this subject, but you sound like you are aware of what you are talking about! Thanks
