Topic: ALL THINGS IN COMMON
Text: Acts 4:32 KJV
And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
In Matthew 19:5 the scripture says ” And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?” When it says they shall be one flesh is synonymous to the fact that they are the same, no difference in them, one cannot be separated from the other, when you see one you have seen the other, they both have all things in common.
From our bible text for today’s devotional, there
are three keys words:
*They were believers: Are you and your spouse believers? This is very important because both of you need to be of like minds. If one person is saved and the other is not it might be difficult for the other to understand this concept of the scripture. As the one who is genuinely saved ensure your partner also is genuinely saved and spiritually inclined and not just a church goer.
* They are of one soul: Do you and you partner see yourselves as one like the scripture said or you have the mindset that we are two different persons just living together? The way you see it determines your actions about it. You both must be of one soul, you must be knitted and connected together in spirit, love, fellowship e.t.c It should be difficult for a third party even the devil to break the bond that binds you together.
* They had all things in common: The two points above are like pre-requisite for this one. When you fulfill those two, you both will easily operate in this life of having things in common, nothing is mine, everything is ours. No longer my money(my hard earned money) my car, my phone, my room e.t.c every thing become ours. Dearly beloved this is the mind of God for your home, really not many homes of Christians have attain this height but yours can. Just take the right steps in faith and prayerfully you fulfill this purpose of God for your family. God bless you.

* Father give me and my spouse the understanding of this purpose of yours for us in Jesus Name.
