PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
8th March
Topic: PREVAILING WITH GOD
Text. : Genesis 32:21-32
Genesis 32:24 And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.
Genesis 32:26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.
Genesis 32:27 And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.
Genesis 32:28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.
Jacob’s action when he saw an angel is a good example of a man who will not give up until he prevails with God. Jacob was in the class of prayer warriors who want result before they stop praying, those who give up praying can be liken to a woman who aborted pregnancy.
Answers to prayer most times are determined by timing, God makes things beautiful in His time Ecclesiastes 3:11. God’s time is not our time most times, persistence in prayer is an attitude of a victorious prayer warrior.
Not giving up on God is a right attitude towards victory, God rewards those who diligently wait for me Hebrews 11:6. Understand that God is committed to answering the prayer of His people, He has never disappointed anyone and you won’t be the first person.
Waiting upon the Lord, is a waiting that will eventually leads to testimony. Jacob held on to the angel until the angel pronounce him blessed, you hold on God He will never let you down. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* Lord help me to wait until my testimony comes
* It is another day to wait upon the Lord, endeavor to be part of it and make your request known.
