Topic : A SETTLED HOME
Text. : Psalms 128:1-6
Psalms 128:1 Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.
Psalms 128:2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
Psalms 128:3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.
Psalms 128:6 Yea, thou shalt see thy children’s children, and peace upon Israel.
Home is suppose to be a place of comfort and enjoyment, a place of relaxation, peace for parents and children. When joy is absent in a home things go the contrary way, some factors are responsible for absence of Joy, they are classified into spiritual, physical, and financial.
Whatever factor it may be God’s plan is that we have peace at home and everywhere. God is committed to doing some things to a man who fears Him, everyone who fears the Lord gets several packages of blessings, one of them is what I am discussing this morning. God is committed to giving you a peaceful wife, husband and children.
My Dad did understand this, as a stubborn child I was, he would always want preachers who did come to our house to preach to me, he knew that as the fear of God is being instilled in my heart, I will have a change of behavior. A family where every member fears the Lord will definitely enjoy the peace and presence of God.
To get the best of our children, we must ensure they fear God, my own Dad made that effort, and that has been the secret of a celebrated life. Why consecrating so much to give your children the best education without making effort about the fear of God in their heart. Devil cannot have his way in your home if everyone’s heart is filled with the fear of God. God bless you and bless your home.
