Topic: ADVANCING IN GOD (part 3)
Text. : Genesis 12:1-12
Genesis 12:1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
Genesis 12:2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
Genesis 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Genesis 12:4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.
I have impression in my spirit man to take this topic deep, God is set to do something great in someone’s life through this. I want to focus on a particular point necessary for advancement.
RESPONSE TO DIVINE INSTRUCTIONS.
Secular knowledge and academic knowledge add values to life but divine instructions add much more value. Your human mind cannot take you farther than a point, no matter how much knowledge you acquired in school or elsewhere, it is important you understand that life is spiritual, in fact everything about life is spiritual, so using academic knowledge alone to approach life matters is like pushing a car when nothing is wrong with the gear.
Continuing from yesterday, as you wait in God’s presence in an act of devotion, His Spirit drops instructions in your spirit, sometimes it comes like mere thought, but it is not, when you worship in praise and prayer, the atmosphere will change, you will know you are in another realm, as you practice that over time, you will be able to recognize God’s voice, you will be sure God’s Spirit is leading you in a particular direction.
When you act as directed by the Holy Spirit, you will encounter breakthrough. Look at v.4 of our passage ‘ So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him..’ Great was his testimony. The Holy Spirit led me to resign as a banker October 2013, He led through the path of construction and today I am not regretting . Obedience to divine instructions guarantees our greatness, the mind can’t guess right, but the Holy Spirit will always lead right. God bless you.

* Lord help me to hear you when you speak.
* Give me grace to be obedient always.
