PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
14th February
Topic: ADVANCING IN GOD ( part 1)
Text : Deuteronomy 1:1-11
Deuteronomy 1:6 The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:
Deuteronomy 1:8 Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them.
Just as every parent wants his or her child to advance, progress, move forward, God, in like manner, expects all His children to progress. Stagnancy is not the kingdom lifestyle, it is saddening for a parent to see his or her child crawling when he or she should be walking.
So Moses speaking in v.6 ‘ The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount ‘. Horeb is the mountain of God, but that is not the promise land, it occurred to me that they were enjoying God at that point, Egyptians had stopped pursuing them. But God, having a better plan for them, instructed them to move forward.
In v. 8 God instructed them to go in and possess the land, not staying on the mountain. God is telling all of His children to move forward, there are better days ahead, the best is yet to come, advance your life, your business, your family, your ministry etc.
STEPS TO ADVANCEMENT.
* Waiting upon the Lord: this is one thing that moved my life forward, I grew to see challenges as a little boy, mum told me it started from age 3, the enemy was bent on making me useless, thank God for dad, he did ensure we go to church, you just must go to church, from there I became born again, I was taught how to wait upon the Lord. As I spent time with God in fasting and praying, my life started looking radiant, I was doing very well in school. One day at about age 23, I had a revelation; I saw the devil weeping for havoc I have caused him.
I knew why he was weeping, the revelation did not need interpretation, I started preaching at age 12, there was great move God through us in our secondary school days, I did stand before average of a thousand students to preach on assembly ground, school fellowship was something else, so his weeping was necessary.
As I began to get my life involve in God’s business, I see God’s hand turning things in my favour. So I got the secret: spending time with God and doing God’s business, I am persuaded that my life cannot remain the same as long as I get involve in His business. God bless you .

* Lord help me to desire more of you.
* Give zeal for your work oh Lord.
