Topic: SEARCH THE SRCIPTURES
Text: Joshua 1:8 KJV
8- This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
God has always been in the business of speaking to His children in times past even till now. As a matter of fact God made everything around us by the words of His mouth according to the book of Genesis, God said “Let there be… and there was”. Till now, God’s words are still very much available for us and everything about us is contained in His words. Our successes, challenges, prosperity, healings, breakthroughs, greatness e.t.c are contained in the word of God.
From our scriptural text today, God told Joshua what would make him succeed in life and ministry and that is, meditating, confessing and doing the scriptures day and night, then he(Joshua) will be prosperous and have good success. Beloved, everything about your life is contained in the scriptures, just like God instructed Joshua, you will need to search the scriptures for what God says about you, your family, your ministry and even your challenges and troubles, then you need to meditate, confess and observe what the scriptures says.
Let’s consider another scriptural text for confirmation. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
says ” All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” So search the scriptures for reproof, doctrine, correction and instruction in righteousness. Search it for issues of life, whatever you are going through search the scriptures for the provision God has made for you pertaining to that matter, then you can be made perfect in God, and have good success. Finally, brethren, have you searched the scriptures today? What does the scriptures says about you today? God bless you
