PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
21st January
Topic: NAKED WITH SHAME
text: Genesis 3:7-10KJV
7- And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
8- And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
9- And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
10-And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
Last week saturday, we considered the topic NAKED WITHOUT SHAME, as we read the account in Genesis 2:25, that both Adam and Eve were naked and were not ashamed.
From our scriptural text for today, these same Adam and Eve were naked and sewed fig leaves to cover their nakedness and also went into hiding when they heard the voice of God in the garden. The only reason why they covered themselves and hid was because this time around, they were ashamed of their nakedness. Adam and Eve at this point have lost something precious, something that made their nakedness never to be exposed at the beginning and that is the glory of God. Satan exchanged God’s glory in their lives with sin of disobedience .
When glory departs, struggle, labour and toiling come in. When glory departs, grace ceases or becomes a mirage. I pray for you today, that lost Glory in your life will be restored today in Jesus Name.
Dearly beloved, has God’s glory departed from your home? Does it feel as if God is far from you and your family? Does it feel as if you are on your own, or that your heaven has been shut?. These are signs that you are naked with shame or that the presence of God is missing in your life or family. Fervently pray unto God today and He will restore you (Isaiah 55:6-7). God bless you
PRAYER:
* Father, whatever has taken your glory away from my life and family, by your mercy let there be restoration.
* Father, terminate struggle, toiling and wasted effort in my journey from now henceforth in Jesus Name
* Where men are waiting to see my nakedness, Father, let them see your glory in Jesus Name
