Text. : Psalms 119:100-110
Psalms 119:103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
Psalms 119:104 Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.
Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Year 2017 has 365 days, it means 365 days to take decisions, there will be conflicting ideas, desires, and aspirations, there will be one thousand and one decisions to make, a million and one steps to take, a hundred and one way to go. Many things will look right, when in actual fact they are wrong.
Many people will dazzle between two or more visions. It is absolutely important for anyone who will record great success this year to have A GUIDE, A GUIDE determines the direction of traveling.
This morning, I am quoting the words of a man who never lost any battle, he fought battles with a good part of his life and never loss any, the top secret about is victories is our text this morning;
V. 104: Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.
This is top secret, through the word of God he gets understanding of what to do per time even at war front, he went ahead to say ‘ therefore I hate every false way ‘, no fast lane, no dubious act, I don’t take ungodly decision, I act right to get right result.
V. 105: Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Wahoo! I see the psalmist saying ‘ it is not possible I walk in darkness, so how can I hit my foot against a stone? Because God’s word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
The psalmist understands that God’s word ( the Bible ) is a perfect guide, meditating on it daily is signing in to good success and obeying it content is prosperity, God spoke in clear terms when talking to Joshua in Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
When God’s word controls your meditations, you can be sure that your decisions will be right. God bless real good. Do have a prosperous year.
