Topic: RETAINING YOUR BLESSING
Text. : Malachi 2:1-27
Malachi 2:2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
Malachi 2:3 Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it.
One can lose blessing if care is not taken, when one is blessed it takes conscious effort to keep the blessing. It is important one gives all diligence to ensure he retains God’s blessings upon his life.
When in need ,prayers are offered to God, some times with fasting and the heavens are opened blessings are poured, if care is not taken such blessings that take efforts, devotion, fasting and prayer to receive can be lost in one day. Understand that :St. John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. Stealing is part of the major functions of the devil, he steals from a careless person, someone who is careless in spiritual matters.
Anyone who is not spiritually alert can lose what took him some time, some efforts, self denial, devotion and consecration to receive in one day. It is absolutely important one takes a serious watch over his life to ensure he retains God’s blessings in his life.
From our text; God cursed their blessing because they will not lay it heart to glorify God. This is not mere glorification with mouth, your life must also glorify God. Everyone who will retain God’s grace and blessings upon his life must continually live his life to glorify God.

* Lord let my life give you glory always.
