Topic : AGAINST HOPE
Text. : Romans 4:1-25
Romans 4:18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
Romans 4:19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb:
Romans 4:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
Romans 4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
This bible passage is very powerful, father Abraham was and is a very significant figure in the earth, God said to Abraham ‘ out of you shall the families of the earth be blessed ‘, this means God packaged the blessing of the world in Abraham, no wonder Jesus came from the linage of Abraham.
He was at a point where hope of having a child was lost, his wife has passed menopause, at a point when people could see him close the grave by reason of age, Sarah was a point when a woman would not have strength to push at the time of delivery, there are tendencies that even if Sarah was pregnant, she might loss her life in process of delivery. It was at this point that father Abraham believed God’s promise.
Abraham considered not his body body dead v.19, this is demonstration of faith, some people faith are weaken when they consider things around them, they feel down and discouraged, understanding how faith works brings miracle, faith supersedes the fact of life you see around, faith is potent enough to bring the greatest miracle, it is not your problem that makes you feel down but rather the absence of faith, faith in God keeps you active and strong even when you miracle has not come.
Look this very powerful scripture, I love this : Romans 4:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; he staggered not, but rather was strong in faith, it is either you stagger or remain strong faith both yield results. Remaining strong in faith guarantees your miracle, you lose nothing when you exercise faith, there is a lot to gain, God honors the faith of men.
I charge you this day not to stagger but rather remain strong in faith like father Abraham, God cannot be late. God bless you.

* Lord help me to remain strong in faith.
* Exercise your faith in the place of prayer this day and expect miracles .
* It is another day to wait ain fasting and prayer endeavor to be part of it.
