Topic: FELLOWSHIPPING WITH GOD
Text. : Psalms 42:1-11
Psalms 42:1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
Psalms 42:2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
You need a mechanic to fix your car, a sick person needs a doctor, some people begin with self medication when they fall sick but when they see no improvement they go to hospital, an expert in a field is needed to fix the problem in that field. God is the only expert in life matters, trying to run life affairs yourself is synonymous to taking self medication as sick a person.
The attention of a medical doctor is needed in the case of a sick person, the sick person visits an hospital for proper medical care, in like manner, God’s attention is needed in solving life’s challenges. Just as you visit a doctor for medical care, you need to visit God for life’s matter, issues, challenges, lifting, etc. This is done by entering into regular fellowship with God.
Fellowship with God could be liken to attending classes every day of school, as you go to class in each day, you advance academically, when you fellowship with God regularly, your life is bound to improve, you cannot fellowship with God and go down, it is absolutely impossible, this is because His presence will rub off on your life. You cannot be a true worshipper of God and go down. This is what I have proven over the years.
A true worshipper’s life gets better as he grows older, he moves from bad to good, good to better and better to best. It is important you register your presence in God’s presence always. Make quiet time a must, endeavor to spend time for worship each day, do not joke with meditation on God’s word, go to a living church regularly. God bless you.
