Topic: BLESSING YOUR CHILDREN
Text. :Genesis 24: 51-60
Genesis 24:59 And they sent away Rebekah their sister, and her nurse, and Abraham’s servant, and his men.
Genesis 24:60 And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, Thou art our sister, be thou the mother of thousands of millions, and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them.
Children are God’s heritage, they are precious to God and they are made with bright future, the bright future is not automatic, their lives are made, I believe wise parents understand this and that is the reason we send them to school.
As schooling is to make them scholars, prayer clears their ways to a glorious future. Understand that just as you are interested in their future, God is also interested and likewise the devil, pronouncing blessing upon their lives will help them a great deal.
From our passage; the relative of Rebekah pronounced blessing on her, blessing her seed on the wedding day, and of course, she became mother of thousands of millions and till today, no country in the world can conquer Isreal.
Praying for our children is fighting their spiritual battle, it is creating a conducive atmosphere for them in the spirit, it is declaring their heavens open. Most importantly, pray your children into God’s plan, it is also absolutely important they become born again. It is a waste of resources spending money on a child that is heading to hell, don’t give up praying until you see them living in the fear of God. Likewise for all members of your family, ask God to save their souls from hell. Whoever is not born again is heading to hell; St. Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
St. Mark 8:37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
PRAYER
* Ask God to save your household, pray them into God’s kingdom, how will you feel when you make heaven and see your children, siblings, or parents in hell fire? Trust God this morning and always to save their souls from hell.
* Pronounce blessing upon your children, the ones you have and the ones you are expecting.
* Pray that your children will not go through the hard times you went through.
* Declare their heavens open.
