Topic: CONQUERING THROUGH CHRIST
Text. : Job 14:1, John 16:25-33
Job 14:1 Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.
St. John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
From the passages quoted above, no man is exempted from battle. Life’s battle does not exempt anyone, the poor has battles likewise the rich, the illiterate and literate also have battle, believers and unbelievers, white men and black men have battle to fight. If you ask me why? I will say; it because we are not in heaven yet, heaven is the only battle free place, human beings on earth are met to go through things as long as they live on earth.
The difference between the believers in Christ and those outside Christ is that those of us in Christ have assurance of victory over life’s battles. Let me add this before I proceed; there is battle at every stage of a man’s life, at each of these stages victory is very much assured, this is simply because Christ conquered for us.
Battles come in different forms; spiritual, financial, physical, health wise and marital crisis, but in all your of these, believers in Christ Jesus should not lose in anyone. As we hold on to Christ Jesus we are victors all the time.
Look at this very powerful scripture:Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Note the phrase ” in all these things ‘ with exemption to none, all means all, nothing is left out….we are more than conquerors and that not without Christ. As you hold firmly to Jesus Christ as your saviour, you will be a victor in all things. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* Help me Lord to continually hold on to you.
* See me through life battles and make conqueror all the time.
