Topic: CELEBRATING GOD’S FAITHFULNESS
Text. : Lamentations 3:20-30
Lamentations 3:21 This I recall to my mind,
therefore have I hope.
Lamentations 3:22 It is of the LORD’s
mercies that we are not consumed, because
his compassions fail not.
Lamentations 3:23 They are new every
morning: great is thy faithfulness.
When two friends relates, if there is no
room for forgiveness of sins and errors,
such relationship cannot last. Because we
are human, most times we offend, at times
unknowingly, sometimes intentionally, true
friends forgive each other. In our
relationship with God, we are found guilty
of offenses, but God is not because of His
perfect nature. Though, God cannot put up
with sin yet, His mercies preserves us.
Many a times, men continually live in sin,
despite several warnings, God in His
faithfulness, keeps us and retains us as His
beloved. Many act of unfaithfulness in
believer’s life, unfaithfulness in giving
tithes, attending church programs, payment
of vows, abuse of grace, failure to tell others
about Christ, failing short of God’s standard,
and many more. Verse 22 reads thus: It is of
the Lord’s mercies that we are not
consumed, because is compassions fail not.
If God numbers sin, no man can stand. His
mercies qualify us to stand in His presence.
Let’s celebrate God’s faithfulness over our
lives, families, businesses, finances etc.
