Topic: REPENT YE LUKEWARM
Text: Revelation 3:14-16 KJV
14- And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15- I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16- So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
A lukewarm is a person that lacks conviction or enthusiasm about a thing, or we can say such person is indifferent about such thing. Lukewarmness is a spirit and a very terrible attitude for anyone especially when possessed by a child of God. A lukewarm person is often slothful, and carefree about important matters. When others see things as a big deal, a lukewarm person sees it as no big deal.
Lukewarmness is a powerful end time weapon in the hand of the devil against any child of God, so it must be done away with and rejected vehemently. God dislikes lukewarmness. From our text for today God said he would will not abhor a lukewarm person, who is neither cold nor hot. Romans 12:11 also established the fact God is not the God of the lukewarm, it says “Not slothful in business, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord”.
Dearly beloved, this is the word of God for you this morning, repent ye lukewarm and ask God to take over your life totally, ask God to revive your spirit, soul and body for Himself. Let he that ears, hear what the spirit is saying. God bless you
