Topic: HOPE ALIVE NOT DEAD
Text: Job 14:7-9 KJV
7- For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut
down, that it will sprout again, and that the
tender branch thereof will not cease.
8- Though the root thereof wax old in the
earth, and the stock thereof die in the
ground;
9- Yet through the scent of water it will bud,
and bring forth boughs like a plant.
Hope is a feeling of expectation and desire
for a particular thing to happen.
In Ezekiel 37, the bible talks about the story
of the dry bones in a valley. The bones were
many, very dry and were dead, God asked
Ezekiel if the bones could live but Ezekiel
answered only God could say if the dry
bones could live again. Really it was a very
critical and hopeless situation but at the
word of the Lord spoken through Ezekiel,
there came a living hope for the dry bones
and they became an exceedingly great army
Job was also found in a situation that
otherwise could be considered hopeless for
he lost everything he had, yet Job would not
give up on God, he would not give up his
faith and hope for a change, in Job 14:14 he
said “If a man die, shall he live again? all the
days of my appointed time will I wait, till my
change
come” his hope was alive and not dead until
his change manifested.
From our bible text above, Job understood
that so long there is hope for a tress that
has been cut down to sprout again at the
scent of water, then there is hope for his
restoration. Beloved if the dry bones could
become a great army then there is hope for
that situation you long considered hopeless,
so don’t give up on God and don’t give up
on yourself, remember with God Nothings
Shall Be Impossible (Luke 1:37). God bless
you
