Topic: A REASONABLE SERVICE
Text. : Romans 12: 1-21
Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore,
brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye
present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy,
acceptable unto God, which is your
reasonable service.
Romans 12:11 Not slothful in business;
fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
Serving God is of volition not of
compulsion, God does not impose himself
on anyone but punishes acts of
disobedience to His word, even Jesus was
not compelled to die but was rewarded for
total obedience to God’s word, Philippians
2:9-11. He allows us make personal decision
to follow Him, personal and total
commitment to Him, not personal and
partial, but personal and total consecration
to Him.
It is like you are in need of food, but you
cannot just eat anything, you desire your
choice, well prepared and well packaged,
not in a dirty plate, or on a dirty table. So,
God desires our total consecration of
volition, if you do not want to give it, do not
give it, but if you must give, it has to be
given totally.
Nonchalant attitude to the things of God
makes our services unreasonable to Him;
lateness to church activities, cold response
to God’s demand and church’s demand,
inability to obey wise instructions from
God’s servant make our services
unreasonable before God.
Every Christian should and must offer
himself or herself as a living (active)
sacrifice, holy, and acceptable to God. God
bless you.

* Lord help me to give total consecration
unto you.
