PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
15th September
Topic: WE’VE GOT TO SHOW THEM
Text: 1 Peter 2:9-11KJV
9- But ye are a chosen generation, a royal
priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar
people; that ye should shew forth the
praises of him who hath called you out of
darkness into his marvellous light;
10- Which in time past were not a people,
but are now the people of God: which had
not obtained mercy, but now have obtained
mercy.
11- Dearly beloved, I beseech you as
strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly
lusts, which war against the soul;
Light and darkness are totally incomparable,
it is natural for light to shine and when it
does, darkness disappears. Many scriptures
point to the fact that as God’s children, we
must live for God, we must show the world
that we are God’s own people, children of
light, a people purchased and redeemed by
the blood of Jesus. We cannot be a carrier
of light and then now try to cover the light,
it is not proper, the light of God must shine
for the world to see.
Matthew 5:16 says “Let your light so shine
before men, that they may see your good
works, and glorify your Father which is in
heaven”, Romans 8:19 also says “For the
earnest expectation of the creature waiteth
for the manifestation of the sons of God”.
Our text above also point in the same
direction as the bible scriptures quoted
above, that “ye are a chosen generation, a
royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar
people; that ye should shew forth the
praises of him who hath called you out of
darkness into his marvellous light”
Dearly beloved, we have got to show the
world that we a chosen generation and not
an abandoned generation, a royal
priesthood and not slaves, a peculiar people
and common or just ordinary people, a
people of light and not of darkness, a
people of truth and not lie, a people with
glorious destinies and not people who live
according to fate (good or bad
circumstances of life and nature), a people
of faith and not unbelievers.
Beloved, we’ve got to manifest that we are
God’s own people, living the true life of
Christ, life of peace, truth, faith, honestly,
godliness, holiness and righteousness in
this world of trouble and sin. We have got to
show them, that we are God’s own people.

* Father, help me to manifest your glory in
this world in Jesus Name
* Father, never let me be ashamed to
proclaim your name and live for you, all the
days of my life in Jesus Name
