Topic: DOING BUSINESS (part 1)
Text: Romans 12: 11
Romans 12:11 Not slothful in business;
fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
Business is anything you do to meet
people’s needs in exchange for money. It
can be either selling of goods, products or
rendering of services. Where you meet
people’s needs without making money from
them is refers to as an act of charity. A
charity organization meets people’s needs
without making money from them.
CRITERIA FOR A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS.
1. Passion for business: you must fall in love
with business, be ready to go extra mile for
the purpose of doing business. Make it your
hobby.
2, Learn: be patience enough to learn, be
teachable, anybody can be your boss,
younger or older, as long as he knows more
than you in that field he is your boss.
3, Sweet mouth: the best form of
advertisement is mouth to mouth, if you
cannot convince me with mouth, you
cannot convince me with paper. Talk to
people about what you do, talk with all
assurance and passion, talk with boldness.
No one will patronize you until they see
confidence in you.
4, Diligence: make effort to improve
yourself and your business, do not lazy, give
all it take to move your business forward, do
not send people when you need to go.
5, Taking risk: take reasonable risk where
necessary.
6, Avoid procrastination: once you
conclude, on a business deal, do not
postpone the transaction, deliver as soon as
possible, this is because your customer or
client might change his mind.
