Topic: A GRATEFUL HEART
Text : Job 1: 1-21
Job 1:20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,
Job 1:21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.
Job 1:22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.
The ultimate stand of a man is not where he stands in times of comfort and pleasure, but where he stands in time of trials and afflictions. Job was a unique character of the bible, his stand in time trials, afflictions, sorrows, temptations, won him approval before God. His strong conviction that, ‘ God cannot be wrong in any situation ‘ makes him a hero of faith.
A very important lesson we learnt from Job is an act gratefulness in any situation. Gratefulness to God at all times, either good times or bad times. Everyone will sing Halleluyah, as long as things go well, but a grateful soul will rejoice in the Lord always, rejoicing when things go according to plans or not, celebrating God for His faithfulness at all times.
God can never forget a grateful soul, Job experienced restoration in all ramifications;
Job 42:10 And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before. Be grateful to God, He is faithful in all situations. God bless you.
