Topic: RAISING A GODLY NATION
Text: Proverbs 14:34kjv
14- Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin
is a reproach to any people.
A nation in our context today is meant to be
a home or a child. It means to raise a godly
nation is to raise a godly home or to raise a
godly child. A common proverb says “A tree
cannot make a forest”, that is very true,
however a forest can be raised from a single
tree. If a single tree is nurtured to maturity
and produces multiple fruits and seeds, and
all the seeds are planted and also nurtured
to maturity, in no time a mighty forest will
emerge. In like manner, a home is a
potential nation likewise child. Therefore to
raise a godly nation we must raise godly
homes, godly families and godly children.
From our text today, the primary condition
to raise a godly nation is righteousness.
Build your home on righteousness, raise
every child in your family and your
neighborhood in righteousness. By
“righteousness” we mean teach them to
live, do, say and believe the right things. Be
an example of a right parent, uncle, aunt,
elder, brother or sister and not one who
says “Do what I say but don’t do what I do”.
The benefit of righteousness is that such a
nation, home, family or child will be
exalted, elevated, above only and not
beneath. Beloved, think, act and pray about
these things, God bless you.

* Father, as a parent help me raise a godly
home and godly children
* Father, I will not receive condemnation
over my home, and my wards in Jesus
