Topic: A NEW COMMANDMENT
Text : John 13:10-35
St. John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
St. John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
A new commandment is necessary because of new testament, not eye for eye, life for life, as moses gave in old testament but a commandment to love, living in love and given to charity at all times and in all endeavors. Look at this; 1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. God Himself is defined as love, and everyone who claims to be His child must live in love.
Love should be seen in all areas of our lives, love in words and actions, in our relationships with people love should reflect. Since God is defined as love, everyone who claims to have God, must wear love as clothes. When you show up, what people notice first is the clothes you wear, other things might be hidden but not your clothes, so is love, love shows on everyone who has it, who lives in it, and who shows it.
It is not enough to talk about it, it is absolutely important we make it a lifestyle. Jesus said by this shall all men know that you are my disciples, it means by no other way, can we be identified as Christ disciples except by love. Endeavor to show to someone today and always. God bless you.
