Topic: DESTINED FOR GREATNESS
Text: Jeremiah 29 :11KJV
11- For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
To be destined means to be chosen for a particular purpose or end as though according to a pre-existing plan. As a child of God, you are destined for greatness.
A very wrong philosophy that the world holds today is that “when something unfortunate happens to a person, they say it that person’s destiny and that God has pre-written such evil concerning that person”, and its quite unbelievable that many born-again child of God and preacher of the gospel believe such philosophy. Beloved, this is absolutely wrong and not true according to the scripture.
Our text today clearly explained, God Himself speaking that “… His thought for you is of good and not of evil to give you an expected end”. It means you are destined for good things and not evil things, and it therefore implies that, when unfortunate experience are parading your life, pray against it, because it is not of God’s plan but of the devil’s counsel (1 Corinthians 10:13).
Finally Romans 8:19, confirmed that you are destined for greatness, it says “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.”. Beloved, the world is waiting for your greatness, your are not purposed, designed, or meant to be small, rather you are meant to be great. Speak to God in prayer today concerning these things, God bless you.
PRAYER
* Father, you have destined me for greatness, I decree therefore I shall not be small, make me great in Jesus Name
* Every agenda of the devil against my greatness, Father, frustrate them in Jesus Name.
