PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
18th August
Topic: CALLED TO SERVE
Text: Isaiah 6:8-10KJV
8- Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying,
Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?
Then said I, Here am I; send me.
9- And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear
ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye
indeed, but perceive not.
10- Make the heart of this people fat, and
make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes;
lest they see with their eyes, and hear with
their ears, and understand with their heart,
and convert, and be healed.
Service is also of the essence of living,
meaning, part of the things we live for is to
serve. Every man offer services either
directly or indirectly, consciously or
unconsciously, but the big question is, what
do you serve? Some serve the devil, some
are serving mammon, some worship men
as their God e.t.c
Beloved, as God’s children we are to serve
God first and then our fellow men as unto
the Lord.
* The service to God is the first acceptable
service and the most important service.
Revelation 4:11 says God made us for His
pleasure meaning He made us to please
Him and one of the ways to Please God is to
serve God truthfully. From our text above
God was in search of a servant for an
important assignment saying”Whom shall I
send and who will go for us?” God is still
calling today, He is always in search for
people who will answer like Isaiah and also
like Joshua who said “As for me and my
house we will serve the Lord. Beloved, what
will your answer to this call?
*The service to our fellow men is a service
unto God and should be rendered as such,
not with eye service or as men pleaser.
Embedded in our services to God is our
services to our fellow men, because God
wants to reach others through us and so
our life must be a blessing to others in all
areas of service but note that the service to
fellow men must be a service in line with
God’s word and must first be an acceptable
service to God. Matthew 20:26-27 says
“..but whosoever will be great among you,
let him be your minister; And whosoever
will be chief among you, let him be your
servant”. God bless you as you yield to the
call of service.
PRAYER
* Father, help me to offer to you acceptable
services in Jesus Name
* Let my life be a great blessings to others
in Jesus Name
