Topic: THE PLACE OF WORSHIP
Text. : Matthew 15: 1-11
St. Matthew 15:8 This people draweth nigh
unto me with their mouth, and honoureth
me with their lips; but their heart is far
from me.
St. Matthew 15:9 But in vain they do
worship me, teaching for doctrines the
commandments of men.
The root of every tree determines it fruit, is
not the shoot that determines the root.
Every worship, every sacrifice, every offering
is rejected or accepted by the state of heart
of the giver. The acceptability of anything
we offer to God is determined by the place
it is coming from, if it is not coming from a
genuine heart, it cannot be acceptable,
every lip service cannot be accepted.
In as much as Church is important, and
God has commanded us to worship Him in
His sanctuary, every worshipper must
understand that his or her meeting point
with God is not house made with hands but
the heart, going to church is important but
if you do not go with your heart, you are
just a mere attendee, you are not
recognized by God.
Your heart is needed before your sacrifice
can be accepted, it must be prepared by you
to receive God’s word, you must also be
ready to obey everything He will tell you. If
you have not given your life to Christ, you
will need to do that before your worship can
be accepted.

* Lord help me to serve you with the whole
of my life.
