Text: Matthew 1:21-23KJV
21- And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22- Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23- Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
God with us basically signifies the presence of God, in other words it means we are not alone. Some implications of God with us are:
1) The gathering of the enemies against you will be scattered and their counsels will not stand as it written in Isaiah 8:9-10 which says “Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces.
Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.”
2) No man can stand against you according to Romans 8:31 which says “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” To buttress this let’s see God’s promise to Joshua as written in Joshua 1:5 “There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” So God said He will be with Joshua and by implication no man shall be able to stand against Joshua all the days of his life.
3)You will become untouchable and unstoppable according to Psalms 105:13-15 “…he suffered no man to do them wrong, he reproved kings for their sakes…”
Beloved, the evidence of God with you is your acceptance of God’s offer of Salvation through Jesus Christ, accept Jesus today as your Lord and personal saviour then God will be with you. God bless you
