Text. : Mathew 16: 1-28
St. Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
St. Matthew 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Church is instituted by God, the church is heaven’s embassy. The church is meant to declare God’s purpose to the world, the gospel of Christ to sinners, the saving power of God to the unsaved, hope to the hopeless, healing to the sick, deliverance to the captive, riches to the poor, glorious life to destitute, strength to the weak, joy to the sorrowful, sight to the blind and life to the lifeless.
The church is meant to bring the life of God to the earth, frustrate the activities of the kingdom of darkness, possess the gate of the enemy, wreck damage in the kingdom of the Devil. Our prayer focuses on the church today, we trust the Lord that He awake the church to her responsibilities.
PRAYER
* Ask God to send revival into our churches.
* Ask to God send fire to destroy every deposit of the Devil in our churches.
* Let’s tell God to break denominational barrier.
* Let’s tell Him to unite us.
* Tell Him to cleanse His church and restore power to His church.
* Pray for your pastor and general overseer that they will fulfill God’s purpose in ministry.
* Ask God to visit His church to uproot what He has not planted.
* Help me as a part of the church to awake unto my responsibilities.
