Text: Luke 10:17-19KJV
17- And the seventy returned again with
joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject
unto us through thy name.
19- Behold, I give unto you power to tread
on serpents and scorpions, and over all the
power of the enemy: and nothing shall by
any means hurt you.
Power is the ability to do work. Naturally
power is so important that we expend it
everyday for our daily living and activities.
In like manner, powers are available beyond
the natural and these powers are expended
everyday by different persons and forces.
Powers of the night or powers of darkness
are of the devil, they wrought wickedness,
delay and destroy destinies, kill glory e.t.c.
There mission is to steal, kill and destroy
(John 10:10). These are powers we wrestle
with as believers not flesh and blood
(Ephesians 6:10-12).
However, thanks be to God that we have a
greater power and higher authority over the
powers of darkness. From our text today,
Jesus said “behold, I give unto you power”,
meaning the power to overcome powers of
darkness, serpents, scorpions and
unfortunate circumstances of life is in God
alone. Therefore we must stay connected
every time to Jesus Christ who is the source
of the power of the Holy Ghost. Ask God
today to release upon you the power of the
Holy Ghost. God bless you.
PRAYER
1. Father, give me power to thread upon
serpent and scorpions in Jesus Name
2. Lord, by the power of the Holy Ghost I
destroy every works of darkness in my life in
Jesus Name
3. Every evil power haunting my glory and
my destiny be paralysed today in the name
of Jesus
4. My glory receive power to shine in Jesus
Name.
