Text: Proverbs 14:34 KJV
34. Righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
The challenges, corruption, moral decadence e.t.c of a nation can be narrowed down to problems created in each home and families. A nation is an accumulation of communities which resulted from accumulation of every families. Meanings every corrupt or immoral individual came from a family and very much likely a product of the nurture given in such family. Some one could argue that society influence people negatively than the family does but the truth is the so called society originated from families. So good moral, quality and positive up-bringing from each family will make a better society and a better nation.
Our text says righteousness exalts a nation, before a nation can become righteousness it starts from each person. It means in your home uphold righteousness, train up your children in godly way, teach them to live right as you set yourself as an example for them, feed them with the word of God, be mindful of what they do outside your home and the friends they keep, prayerfully commit them to God’s hands so that devil will not make them instrument of unrighteousness, pray for every child, youth and family around you. I tell you these are major steps toward a better nation. God bless you

1. Father, help me to uphold righteousness in my home in Jesus Name
2. From now henceforth, I decree no place for the devil in my home in Jesus Name.
