CHALLENGES
Text : 1John 5:1-21
1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God
overcometh the world: and this is the
victory that overcometh the world, even our
faith.
1 John 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the
world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the
Son of God?
This world is characterized with challenges,
these challenges are common to all, no one
is exempted. While the poor thinks the rich
has the all the comfort of life, the rich
discover the poor lives freer, sometimes ago
during hot season, our security men sleep
outside in cold natural atmosphere, while
will manage to get cold air inside, my wife
said ‘ these security men sleep in cool
atmosphere outside, how I wish we could
do the same ‘, if you ask the security men
they will tell you, ‘Oga with his family dey
enjoy inside ‘.
The truth is that challenges are common to
all, while the richest man in the world
battles with his, the poorest man also battle
with his, believers are not exempted, look at
this St. John 16:33 These things I have
spoken unto you, that in me ye might have
peace. In the world ye shall have
tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have
overcome the world. That was Jesus talking
to His disciples, the reason is simply
because we are not in heaven yet, heaven is
the only trouble free zone, no part of the
world is free from trouble.
The good news is this : everyone who is
born of God overcomes the world, anyone
that is genuinely born again has what it
takes to overcome the world, the is because
He carries the potentials of God, according
to how passage ‘…and this is the victory that
overcomes the world, even our FAITH. Our
faith in God brings absolute victory over the
devil, as you continually trust in the Lord
you will continually experience victory at
every level in life.
Understand this: no challenge is meant to
bring a child of God down, no matter how
big, OUR VICTORY IS ASSURED in Christ,
Christ already conquered for us, ours is to
activate the victory through faith expressed
in the place of prayer. You are not suppose
to loss any battle, if you are truly born of
God, you are a born conqueror.
