Text : Ephesians 5: 1-33
5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your
own husbands, as unto the Lord.
5:23 For the husband is the head of the
wife, even as Christ is the head of the
church: and he is the saviour of the body.
5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as
Christ also loved the church, and gave
himself for it;
The understanding of a thing makes you get
the best of it, when you lack understanding
of a thing you will practically play around it,
marriage is an institution ordained by God,
built on certain principles, as you put those
principles in place it is certainly going to be
like licking honey, while some endure their
marriage some celebrates theirs the reason
is not far fetched, this is simply because
while some build their homes on scriptural
principles some place around those
principles.
BASIC PRINCIPLES
* Do not marry sinner (someone that is not
Born Again): this is for those who are not
married
* Submission: this exclusively scriptural and
cultural (Africa culture) God made man the
head from creation, everyone woman who
wants to enjoy her husband must not in the
name of civilization throw this into the bin.
* Love: this is ABSOLUTELY IMPORTANT,
while the wife is totally submissive to her
husband, husband must love the wife to
point of being ready to do any good for her.
Simply illustration to explain this, a wife is
submissive to the point of surrendering all
she has to her husband, the husband is
ready to give anything to put his wife in the
her best state, if they both get on
continually that way, nothing can break
their home. By God’s grace my family is a
living example of this, everyone close to us
can testify to this.
