Text : Ecclesiastes 9:1-10
Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
I will take two definitions of value, there are: ‘ Regard highly ‘ ‘ think much of ‘. Nothing is valuable until you place value on it , for instance if you give a dollar note to a villager outside US who does not know its worth, he will definitely see it as a piece of paper, life will also make no meaning to anyone who does not understand it essence.
In like manner what you do is valueless until you place a value on it. Our text today emphasize this: ‘ whatsoever ‘ connote anything at all, the value is not in the thing itself but value is impute by men, value is placed on things by men, it always began with the person who initiates the thing, if the inventor does not place value on it, it will eventually get none, so it is important you place value on what you do.
From our text ‘….do it with thy might ‘, your commitment to what you do brings value on it, commitment gets people to notice and cherish what you do, a good number of people told me ‘ your commitment to the things of God challenge me to serve God ‘ my boss, when I was in the bank told me ‘ I became Sunday school teacher when I saw your level of commitment ‘ in like manner your business will get attention soonest as you begin to give it your best. Understand that people won’t take you serious until you appear serious. Place value on what you do and you’ll definitely get value for it. GOD BLESS YOU, go and proper this week.
