Topic: STRENGHT TO RUN
Text: Isaiah 40:28-31KJV
28. Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his
understanding.
29. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
30. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Life is a journey that encompasses many spheres like physical, spiritual, social, secular, emotional, physiological e.t.c In the journey of life, movement is paramount, some crawls, some walks while some runs. The type of movement anyone embarks upon in life is highly a function of strength that’s why some are even stagnant at one point or the other because they lack capacity to move that is strength.
As a christian to run successfully the race of life, there is a need to wait or tarry with God for strength. Our text today says they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.
When Jesus was leaving the earth He told His disciples to tarry (wait on God/seek God’s face) in Jerusalem until they are endued with power from on high (Luke 24:49).
When David’s people were invaded by enemies in Ziklag and he lost everything, after weeping and weeping, he enquired (waited on God) of the Lord if he should pursue and the answer he got became his strength to pursue (2 Samuel 30)
Dearly beloved, our lives are in many phases, moving from one point or level to another, as you run the race of life you need to tarry or wait on God for strength, that is the only sure way to run successfully to your dreams, destiny and fulfil purpose. God bless you

1. Father, let me never be in a hurry to move without your instruction
2. Father help me to put you first in my life before any other thing
