Topic: BLESSINGS OF FELLOWSHIP
Text: Hebrews 10:23-25KJV
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of
ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Fellowship is gathering together to worship God, pray and study to know God. The scriptures above admonishes us not to forsake the assemblies of ourselves. There are innumerable blessings of fellowship, let’s consider a few of them:
* Two are better than one (Ecclesiates 4: 9-12), because two will achieve better result than one
* If one falls other can lift him up. I have learnt this a long time ago that in this christian race don’t be a lone ranger, its important you have someone who ask about your well being, someone who can check on you when absent in service, someone who can checkmate you if going on a wrong way and these are found in fellowship
* One chases a thousand, but two will chase ten thousand, meaning with unity they can pool greater strength to achieve more with time
* One can be overpowered but two can put up a defense (Ecclesiates 4:9-12)
* Prayer of agreement is possible (Matthew 18:19)
* Burdens can be shared and solved
Beloved, the blessing of fellowship can’t be exhausted, one strategy of the devil to cause backsliding is distracting a child of God from fellowship because he knows strength, power and help are available in the fellowship, and such a person is gradually falling away from place of immediate help. As I conclude, remember this; DON’T BE A LONE RANGER in this christian race it is very dangerous, be accountable to someone and let someone be accountable to you aswell (iron sharpens iron).
