Text : Hebrews 13:14
1 NLT:Keep on loving each other as brothers
and sisters.
2 NLT:Don’t forget to show hospitality to
strangers, for some who have done this
have entertained angels without realizing it!
3 NLT:Remember those in prison, as if you
were there yourself. Remember also those
being mistreated, as if you felt their pain in
your own bodies.
Hospitality simply means to entertain,
entertaining strangers according to our
passage, nobody knows anybody, someone
said it is wrong to say ‘I know mr. Jack’ but
right to say ‘I know little about Mr. Jack’.
The man looking like a low class can be a
great man in the nearest future.
Father Abraham was given to an act of
hospitality, entertained angels and got his
desired miracle, Genesis 18. Lot also
entertained the angels that came to destroy
Sodom and Gomorrah and escaped
destruction Genesis 19. Be good to people,
share your bread and your wine with people
when necessary even when you do not
know them.
Look at this: KJV:But a lover of hospitality, a
lover of good men, sober, just, holy,
temperate; Titus1:8. The bible instructs us
to be hospitable, your meal can save a soul,
feed those who could not afford their
meals, feed and cloth children whose
parents are too poor to care of them, don’t
be nonchalant to the cry of the poor.
