PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
26th April
Topic: TURN ASIDE
Text: Exodus 3: 1-5 KJV
1 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.
2 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.
4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.
Life is full of challenges, the struggle for survival and struggle to make ends meet, the hustle and bustle here and there has really taken its tolls on very many christians.
They have become a great deal of
distraction and has turned many to nominal christians, such that they barely have time to pray, fast and study the word of God.
Dearly beloved this ought not to be.
God needs you to turn back to Him.
Many are carried away by the affairs and pleasures of this world and they have lost hold of their fellowship with God, just like Paul said that Denmas forsook Him because
of the love for this present world (II
Timothy 4:10)
From our text above, Moses was greatly occupied with his father-in-law business, he was busy looking after the flocks and God desired to speak with him. When he saw a
burning bush and the bush was not being consumed he said I will turn aside and see, and when God saw that he has turned aside (God caught his attention or he has re-
position himself to where he could hear God), God called out to him and spoke to him.
Beloved, God desire your attention, He wants to speak to you but you have been busy and distracted, turned aside to God today and He will have mercy. Isaiah 55:6-7
says “Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will
abundantly pardon.” God bless you
PRAYER:
Father, in every way I have turned away from you help me to return back unto you In Jesus Name
