Topic: SURRENDER IT BACK
Text: Exodus 4:1-31KJV
1 And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee.
2 And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.
3 And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.
4 And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand
Everything that we have and we will have are given to us by God. That talent, gift, character, idea, wisdom, possession that has made you unique or outstanding among many others is a blessing from God to you and to your generation. It is meant to bless you and to make you a blessing to other. As much as these things are from God we need to surrender them back to God for us to fulfill His purpose.
Moses has an assignment to deliver Israel from slavery, if he was to be killing the egyptians one by one with his rod by the time he died he would have only kill a fraction of the egyptians but when he surrendered his ordinary shepherd rod to God according to our text today, the rod became a miracle rod that opened and closed the mighty red sea.
In Luke 9:13-17, the boy with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes surrendered it back to God, and when Jesus blessed it five thousand people were fed satisfactorily and 12 baskets of fragments still remained
Hannah a barren woman in 1Samuel 1:20-28 gave her first son Samuel back to God, God turned the boy to a great Prophet in Israel (1Samuel 3:19-20)and also gave Hannah many other sons and daughters
Dearly beloved, whatever God has given you to bless you and your generation with, surrender back to Him to breathe on it for blessings, multiplication e.t.c God bless you
Father, all that you have given me, I give them back to you, use it Lord for your glory in Jesus Name
