Topic: SHAMEFULNESS OF PRIDE
Text : Proverbs 11:1-10
2 KJV:When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
One danger of success is PRIDE, when one begins to attain success, breakthrough, lifting, prosperity etc one danger one is likely to watch out for is pride. It is the pitfall of a successful man, if care is not taken; your statements will change, your carriage and comportment will change, sometimes some people want to change their look.
A proud person sees what he does right and what others do wrong, one tends to ascribe the successes to one’s effort, connections, wisdom, commitment or dedication etc. Everyone of us must understand that we all carry a canal body that wants self glorification, as you come to a point of success give due diligent to ensure your utterances are not that of the proud, don’t relegate those who are still trusting God, the simple truth is that not all of us will breakthrough at the same time; there is time for everyone.
From our text we understand that pride brings shame, this is simply because God totally detest the proud, so He quickly convert his glory to shame. At every level of breakthrough and success 3 things manifest, they are blessing, glory, and shame, the glory must be given to God, blessing to man while the shame belongs to the devil but whenever man decide to take the glory, he is also made to share of part of the shame.

* Lord help me to be humble always.
