Topic: THE WAY OF THE LORD
Text: Matthew 7:13-16kjv
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in there
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
There are many ways in life, the way of man, the way of the devil and the way of the Lord, but the only assured way is the way of the Lord. Jesus confirmed it in John 14:6 sayings “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
The way of the Lord is:
*The way of righteousness (Proverb 14:34)
*The way to eternity (John 14:6)
*The way of wisdom (Proverbs 4:7)
*The way of prosperity (3 John 2)
*The way of holiness (1 Peter 1:15-16)
*The way of justice (Deuteronomy 32:4)
*The way of strength (Nehemiah 8:10)
*The way of glory (Colosians 1:27)
*The way of miracle
*The way of life (John 1:4)
*The way of truth (John 14:6)
*The way of light (John 8:12)
*The way of liberty (Galatians 5:1) e.t.c The list is endless.
Its the perfect way, the narrow way and the only right way to follow.
One point to summarise it all is that the way of the Lord is all about Jesus Christ and not just about religion. Many often considered it only as a way of religion, observing the law like the Pharisees and Saducees in the scripture (Matthew 23:23). Beloved its more than just been religious, its all about Jesus Christ, from point of genuine salvation to the point of reigning with God in eternity. So let’s walk in the way of the Lord and constantly look unto Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2) for us not to derail or miss the track. God bless you
