Text: Phillipians 3:1-21 KJV
9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
Learning to know the Lord is a daily affair. As much as we eat physical foods daily to stay alive we equally need to feed ourselves spiritually on constant bases. This life is full of challenges strong enough to swallow up lives, destinies, make labour become loss, make effort fruitless and many more. To be an overcome in it is to be God’s ally, and you can’t be God ally when you have not known Him. The presence of God robs off on us and has a great deal of benefits for us and so we must never joke with his presence as much as we don’t joke with food. Paul said that I may know him, not just that but also the power of His resurrection. I pray you will be thirsty of God’s presence more than anything else in Jesus name.
Dearly beloved, let’s learn to know God in the place of:
* Quality praise
* Prayer
* His word (study the scriptures)
* Fasting
* Evangelism
* Services to God e.t.c
You have nothing to lose knowing Him and you have everything to gain. God bless you
