Topic: PURITY AND PROSPERITY
Text : Psalm 1:1-6
1KJV:Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2KJV:But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3KJV:And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Many people do not know that prosperity is attached to purity, even some ministers most times try to separate them from from each other. First of all you need to understand that God is the one who determines who is blessed and He attached conditions to it.
Most time when people share some principles that lead to prosperity they tend to leave PURITY/HOLINESS out, this is absolutely wrong. From our text a man who walks in the counsel of the ungodly is not blessed, any man who desires to be blessed must not stand in the way of sinners, anyone who desire to blessed must meditate in the law of the Lord day and night.
Those who make money through crooked ways are not blessed, money made through fraudulent acts is not blessed, a rich man without peace of mind, living in guilt is not blessed, anyone who desires true riches and blessing MUST not go the way of sinners, telling lies to make gain is not blessing, honesty and purity is the hallmark of prosperity in business.
Verse 3 pronounces blessing on anyone who will walk uprightly;
* He shall bring forth his fruit in his season.
* His leave shall not wither.
* Whatsoever he does shall prosper.
Make up your mind not to do your business in the way of sinners and you will see the blessing of the Lord. God bless you.
PRAYER
* Lord help me to walk uprightly always.
