Text : Matthew 16:1-20
17 KJV:And Jesus answered and said unto
him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for
flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto
thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
18 KJV:And I say also unto thee, That thou
art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my
church; and the gates of hell shall not
prevail against it.
19 KJV:And I will give unto thee the keys of
the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever
thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in
heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on
earth shall be loosed in heaven.l
Church is the only organisation created by
God, it is a very important entity in the
heart of God, how do l know? the
foundation of the church cost Jesus His life,
though He got it back. This might surprise
you; the church is the most important thing
to God.
Look at this: KJV: Husbands, love your wives,
even as Christ also loved the church, and
gave himself for it;That he might sanctify
and cleanse it with the washing of water by
the word,:That he might present it to
himself a glorious church, not having spot,
or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it
should be holy and without blemish. Eph.
5:25-27.Christ is under obligation to present
to God a glorious church without sin, and to
do that right He shed is blood on the cross
of calvary.
Another vital point to note is this; the
church is the embassy of heaven on earth,
just as you can’t enter any country without
first going to her
embassy likewise no one can make heaven
without being a part of the of the church, it
is absolutely indispensable to be a part of
the church without blemish, wrinkle, spot
before you can be acceptable by God.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
* God has just one church irrespective of
many denominations, anyone who is born
again (genuine believer), and continues in
righteousness is a part of that church. For
instance if there are 100 people, genuinely
saved people, in your denomination,
though you might have 1million
congregation, only 100 people are part of
the church of God. Hebrews 12:23,24. Let
me stop here for now we’ll conclude it next
week sunday.
VITAL POINTS
* For those who don’t go to church, Church
is God’s ordained institution, it is sin not to
be part of it.
* If you are not genuinely saved from sin
though you go to church, pay your tithes
and do other things, you are simply wasting
your time and resources because every
member of the church must be without
wrinkle, spot and blemish.
PRAYER.
* Lord help me to live a spotless and
blameless life.
