Topic: DIVINE COMMUNICATION
Text : John 10:1-5,27
KJV:Thus saith the Lord the maker thereof,
the Lord that formed it, to establish it; the
Lord is his name;
KJV:Call unto me, and I will answer thee,
and show thee great and mighty things,
which thou knowest not. Jeremiah 33:2,3
our communication with God is not
monologue but dialogue , both parties
listen and talk, but most times when we
pray we don’t wait for response from God,
in fact many do not care to listen.
Understand that communication is not
complete until both parties speak. From our
text verse 3 KJV:Call unto me, and I will
answer thee, and show thee great and
mighty things, which thou knowest not.
God promised to answer us, show us great
and mighty things when we pray.
Look at this: KJV:To him the porter openeth;
and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth
his own sheep by name, and leadeth them
out. John 10:3 Every child of God should
hear Him, understand His voice and follow
His leading. Answer to prayer might simply
be an instruction from God and as you obey
you get desired result.
HOW DO I HEAR GOD?
* God speaks by revelation, vision, dream,
trance.
* Revelation of His word (bible)
* Inspiration by His Spirit, this is far beyond
ideas, it is a spiritual eye opener.
* Understand that God is spirit and those
who worship Him must worship in truth
and spirit, it is your spirit that receives
message from God not your body, it is your
spiritual eye that sees vision not physical
eye. As you fellowship with God either in a
gathering or individually allow the Holy
Spirit to captivate your spirit, you come to a
point when you hear God clearly and you
can boldly say ‘the Lord spoke to me’
So each time you pray be sensitive to hear
His voice, He will speak in the language you
understand. Let me add that when you
couple prayer with fasting, your spirit man
receives strength while your body is weak.
PRAYER
* Captivate my spirit by your Spirit oh Lord.
* Speak to me in the language l will best
understand.
* It is another day to fast and pray, as you
wait in His presence endeavour to be
attentive to His voice.
