Topic: CONNECTING HEAVEN
Text : Psalm 24: 1-10
3 KJV:Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4 KJV:He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5 KJV:He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
Heaven is very high from the earth Isaiah 55:9, but as high as it is, some people connect easily between a twinkling of an eye, just as you connect one via phone once you dial the person’s number, you know that is made possible because your have a phone, the phone has sim card of a registered communication company, and your sim is dully registered. In like manner not everyone who prays connects heaven, divers methods of prayer do not guarantee answers to prayer, just as you won’t expect any kind of sim to work on your phone.
Our text states in clear terms necessary conditions for connecting heaven, to shock you, the melodious praise sessions in our services do not move heaven an inch until these conditions are met, in verse 3 the psalmist was so curious of who will ascend into the hill of the Lord or stand in His holy place, verse 4 quickly provided answer as God will not hide it from anyone who desire to know: KJV:He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
* CLEAN HANDS: anyone with dirty hands cannot reign with God, offerings, clapping, from such hands cannot be accepted by God until they are cleansed by the blood of Jesus. Dirty refers to what you do with those hands; how do you make your money? do you touch another man’s wife? Do you take what does not belong to you? These things can make your hands dirty.
* A PURE HEART: what conversation goes on in your heart? if it is dirty then your heart is not pure
* Lifting one’s heart unto vanity and swearing deceitfully can disqualify you from being accepted by God, and when you are not accepted your offerings, praises, worship, services, commitment and dedication to God’s work cannot be accepted.
PRAYER.
* Cleans my hands and purify my heart by the blood of Jesus.
