Text: Acts 10:1-48 KJV
14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have
never eaten any thing that is common or
unclean.
15 And the voice spake unto him again the
second time, What God hath cleansed, that
call not thou common.
34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said,
Of a truth I perceive that God is no
respecter of persons:
35 But in every nation he that feareth him,
and worketh righteousness, is accepted with
him.
God showed Peter a vision to eat
somethings and Peter said he would not
because they were unclean and God told
him not to call what He has cleansed
unclean. Peter got a full understanding of
that vision when he met Cornelius the
centurion and his entire household waiting
to hear Peter preach to them for salvation,
it was then Peter opened his mouth and
said God is no respecter of persons. I
perceived Peter said so because he was
amazed how a centurion could so fear God
that he prepared himself and his entire
household for salvation.
Dearly beloved indeed God is no respecter
of any person, no wonder a dieing thief on
the cross who acknowledged he’s a sinner
was accepted by Jesus to be with Him in the
paradise (Luke 23:43) while Eli who had
been a Priest for so long was rejected by
God at the instance he disobeyed God’s
warning(1 Sam 2:27-36). Also David
committed more grievous sins than Saul
but yet he was accepted by God because he
instantly repented and prayed for
forgiveness while Saul was rejected cause
he still want honour before his people while
he had sinnes(1 Sam 15:19-35). God is no
respecter of persons: He only accept those
that fear Him, and work righteousness. God
